Multiphasic Assessment of Cultural Constructs-Short Form (MACC-SF)

The Multiphasic Assessment of Cultural Constructs-Short Form (MACC-SF) (Cuellar et al., 1995) is a 62 item measure of Hispanic cultural factors with true or false responses and five subscales: familism, fatalismo, personalismo, folk illness beliefs, and machismo. Although developed for use with Mexican-Americans, researchers report this instrument measures cultural factors that are common across Hispanic cultures, with the exception of the folk illness beliefs scale which is specific to Mexican-American populations.
