Illicit Drug Use Stigma Scale

The Illicit Drug Use Stigma Scale is a 10-item measure that assesses the domains of perceived devaluation, alienation, discrimination, and responses to discrimination and stigma (Ahern, Stuber, & Galea, 2007). Measures items are based on literatures assessing the health effects of these stressors in other marginalized populations (Krieger, 1990, Link et al., 1997, Meyer, 1995, Ritsher et al., 2003) but were modified as necessary to frame them in terms of illicit drug use.
