Patient Practioner Orientation Scale (PPOS)

The Patient-Practitioner Orientation Scale (Krupat et al., 2000) is an 18 item measure of the role orientations of patients and physicians and can be filled out by both without any modification of the items or instructions. The scale has two subscales: 1) Sharing and, 2) Caring. Responses are scored on a 6 point Likert Scale (strongly disagree to strongly agree).
