Machismo and Caballerismo Scale

The Machismo and Caballerismo Scale (Arciniega et al., 2008) is a 20 item measure designed to assess dual characteristics among men of Latino origin in an integrated manner. Machismo has traditionally been described as aggressive, sexist, chauvinistic, and hypermasculine, while its counterpart Caballerismo is considered nurturing, family centered, and chivalrous. Responses are on a 7-point Likert scale.
