HIV Knowledge Scale

The HIV Knowledge Scale (Heckman et al, 1995) is a 12 item scale that measures knowledge about HIV transmission, prevention, and consequences with true/false responses.

Translation Information:

The HIV Knowledge Scale was translated to Spanish by the SEPA I study team, Principal Investigator Dr. Nilda Peragallo.  The translation process consisted of 3 steps:  translation, back translation, and comparison/reconciliation by a third party in consultation with other native speakers as needed.
