Health Literacy Questions

Three Health Literacy Screening questions (Chew et al., 2004) were found to be effective for detecting inadequate health literacy among adult patient populations.

Translation Information:

The three Health Literacy Screening questions were translated by the Health Fair study (University of Miami Protocol #20150764) team, Principal Investigator, Dr. Jessica Williams.  The translation process consisted of 3 steps: translation, back translation and verification by a third party.
