The College Alcohol Problems Scale - Revised (Maddock et al., 2001) is an 8 item self-report scale that measures the frequency of personal and social problems associated with drinking in college students. The CAPS-R has 2 subscales, Personal Problems and Social Problems.

Translation Information:

The College Alcohol Problems Scale-Revised was translated to Spanish by the College Alcohol Problems Study (University of Miami protocol # 20121057) team, Principal Investigator, Dr. Brian McCabe.  The translation process consisted of 3 steps:  translation, back translation, and comparison/reconciliation by a third party in consultation with other native speakers as needed.
