About the Research Core
The El Centro Research Core is a home and resource platform for studies at the University of Miami School of Nursing and Health Studies aimed at improving the health of vulnerable populations.

The Research Core provides services related to methods and statistics, measurement, data management and quality assurance, human subjects protection, and preparation of research manuscripts and grant applications.  Beyond providing services, the Research Core nurtures collaboration by organizing workgroups on methodology, concept development, and scientific writing.  By pooling our resources and the talent of our research teams we strive to facilitate high-quality studies, build a synergistic portfolio of research findings, and inspire investigators to generate knowledge that will reduce health disparities.  The Research Core also aims to serve the larger scientific community through consultation, mentorship and shared knowledge.  We welcome the input and involvement of seasoned and novice investigators from all disciplines and institutions.
